RULES OF MEMBERSHIP

  • We are not doctors and what members share in the group is not medical advice

    • It is a space to share our personal experiences and learn from each other.

    • Remember that every brain injury is different and what has worked for you might not work for others.

  • Be respectful and kind to each other and listen to the stories that your fellow members choose to share.

    • Do your best to not dominate the conversation during the video meetings, so that everyone will get a chance to share.

    • One person speaks at a time during the video meetings, and it is the moderator's job to mute and un-mute participants.

  • This is a safe space

    • Respect each other's privacy and confidentiality. This means what is said in the group should stay in the group.

  • It is okay not to share

    • Sharing by the participants in the video meetings is strongly encouraged, but optional.

    • Sharing in your group's message board is optional, for both participants and listeners.

  • The video meetings are never recorded

    • Meeting summaries will be available to members on the message board after the meetings. The summaries will not contain any personal information and are only intended to be a reminder of the helpful strategies that were shared during the meeting.
